San Diego Realtor Named Top in Country

One of America’s top realtors works right here in San Diego.  29-year-old Benn Vogelsang earned a spot on the prestigious list featured annually in Realtor Magazine.

“I feel privileged to work in an industry I am truly passionate about and it’s exciting to see my work here in San Diego recognized on a national level.”

Vogelsang is Senior Vice President and Top Producer for South Coast Commercial, Inc. in Point Loma. He specializes in selling and exchanging multifamily buildings, typically with five to 100 units.

His 2015 sales volume reached $33.7 million. He holds a career sales volume of $120 million.  Vogelsang joined South Coast Commercial, Inc. in 2010.

“I am fortunate to work under brokers and business owners who make fair and ethical business decisions with regard to their employees, competitors and clients,” Vogelsang said.

Owners Brian Nelson and Kevin Hemstreet founded the business in San Diego in 2008.  “Brian and Kevin have offered me investment opportunities in real estate and the option to expand my business and build a team,” he said.

“Finding success in San Diego is especially meaningful to me because nearly half of all San Diegans rent,” he said. “I get to help investors provide more living options in our

community while helping property owners grow their portfolio.”  Seeing his clients’ success inspired Vogelsang to buy his own properties. He believes  realtors can’t just stop at offering transaction services, they need to also understand the

challenges of owning and managing a property.
